I once worked as a lawyer, and I've been recovering ever since.

I finished up as a solicitor in 1999 to become a political adviser to the Australian Labor Party in Canberra. Since then, I've worked in a number of different policy fields, including law, workplace relations, water and health.

Last year, I rejoined the private sector as a Corporate and Government Affairs Manager for Johnson & Johnson. I'm also completing an MBA (finance specialisation) at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

My wife Kate and I have recently returned from taking time away from it all to fulfil our shared dream of travelling to some high-risk developing countries (and Norway). You can check out an account of our journey at www.poundster.com
