Hello! It's taken me a long time to sit and describe myself... Not generally in my list o' fun things to do, but here goes...

As long as I can remember, I have absolutely loved photography. I've always had a camera pointed in my friends faces asking them to pose like top models!! I've never been able to afford a proper camera, mainly just disposables. It's when my brother came for a visit last summer and brought with him his Nikon D40 that I realised, "Hmmmm?? I wonder if I could afford one of these now"? He let me play round with it and showed me all the features and I instantly fell in love with it! My husband, who is mega supportive, bought me one several days later; a Nikon D40 twin lens kit. I never thought in a million years that I would EVER get to own ANYTHING nice... let alone a fantastic DSLR! Thanks so much Steven for being a constant source of inspiration... every time I look at my camera it reminds me of you and your visit last summer.

It's totally opened so many creative doors for me and I'm constantly studying books and magazines and learning so much. It's great to have a community like Flickr where I can learn a great deal and share common interests. My brother bought me the gift of Flickr Pro... which is totally awesome!! Thanks again, Steve!

Sometimes I get a bit overwhelmed when I look through all the fantastic pictures on Flickr and wonder why I'm even bothering with this hobby, simply because of breath taking, amazing and a beautiful pictures that I find. But then I sit back and remember that I never had this luxury of owning a proper camera and that the pictures I take now are a far cry better than the ones I took years and years ago. I may be the novice of novices, but believe me... I've come a long way! And I suppose we've all got to have a starting point.

In any case, I hope they are enjoyable to some..
