I was known before as morning_stiffy. It's a stupid nickname. I picked it in, let me think, I guess it was 1994, when the Internet was so young and I thought it was a cool nick to go by. That year, the hippest thing I did was smoke lots of pot and drop out of the university, so... not a good year for lifetime decisions. Please call me Bart.

I picked up photography as a hobby in 2004, when my daughter was born. Needless to say, my first few thousand pictures were quite mono-thematic. I gradually progressed to take pictures of other objects, then I found out about HDR. And I learned everything I know about it from this guy.

I'm a pretty busy man - I co-run an ad agency, which takes up most of my day. I use up what's left trying to be a good dad to my two kids. HDR is a perfect solution for me - I can get better results from worse locations. Plus it's less time consuming than playing in a hardcore band, the activity I had to give up one sad day. I still keep my Gibson and Dual Rectifier though, who knows what comes.

Places I want to go: Iceland. Badly.

To my Flickr friends: thank you all for your comments and appreciation, as a newbie I really need them for encouragement. I'm sorry I don't add my photos to the award groups. I post my shots in few object/method-related groups (like HDR Skies or Sigma 10-20), and I got some vanity groups on the side.

Tech info: I shoot with Nikon D50, which is an entry-level DSLR. My lens: Sigma 10-20 mm plus two old Nikkors - 24-85 and 70-210.
