Nothing Much to see here, just a few snapshots of this and that. Nothing professional or even vaguely artistic, I just like snapshots of things I find interesting. I don't have photoshop and I don't have a dog or a cat or a passion for flowers or ballerina shoes so you won't see 5,000 of those photos. Nothing artistic, usually just an attempt at humor in the human condition.

I would like to add: To everyone who has fav'ed a photo or left a kind comment, you are truly a person who makes the world a better place. There is no nobler accomplishment than to assist, praise or encourage another person in their endeavor. In this self centered society that we live in we often forget what a few kind words can do.

YOU CAN MEASURE YOUR OWN SUCCESS BY THE SUCCESS OF THOSE YOU HELP.



My Top Ten Rules for Creating a Great Flickr Site

1) Take pictures of INTERESTING things.

2) Your fantasy life as a rabbit, obsession with torn dollar bills* or your belly button lint collection clearly violates rule # 1.

3) Take pictures of different things....abandoned buildings or cars are cool, there just isn't a lot to see that the first 8,000 photos won't cover.....hmmm MORE RUST!

4) Your cat, dog or small child is just one of way too many of the creatures overpopulating the planet and unless they are being attacked by a rabid coyote, waterskiing through a revolving door or building a fusion reactor, we probably only need a couple of photos.

5) If you use a gun in your photo, make sure it is real and loaded with bullets. It is hard to create an element of danger with an Airsoft gun. If you don't have a gun ask your local drug dealer, they probably have plenty laying around. If that fails, ask a Cop to borrow his, just remember to say please. It is best to ask when heavily intoxicated, naked or screaming in a hysterical voice. It is really excellent to do all three at the same time. You might even make the news or at least become a Taser statistic.

6) Please don't add: "No photoshop or Straight from the Camera" when it is clear that the demons bursting from your eyeballs are stolen from some crappy videogame.

7) If you find a beautiful model and take 18,000 photos, we probably only need to see one of them. 632 of them is way off.

8) If you can't pick one of them, use the best two. Okay! Okay! You CAN use three but that is the limit! Comprende?

9) Multiple photos of the same person, with the same clothes, with the same expression, in front of the same background, with the same lighting, on the same day, in the same location really aren't necessary. It is ok to change things up. Change shirts with them....do SOMETHING!

10) If your name is Merkley???, you can do whatever you want.

*The cruelest thing I have ever done was to mess with a guy who had an obsession with collecting torn dollar bills. Every time I saw him coming I would always grab a bill and make a tiny tear in it and then pretend to be having trouble trying to get a Coke from the machine and I would casually mention that it must be that tear in the bill. He would nearly go hysterical trying to rescue the torn dollar bill as I was cramming it into the machine. He had shoeboxes full of them.
