If you have been kind enough to comment on my photos or select one as a favourite, thank you! Please accept my apologies if I don't get round to reciprocating or thanking you personally.

If you are looking at this after I have made a comment on one of your photos, please accept my apologies if all I have managed to say is something rather brief and banal like, "cool", "great shot" or "nice" but sometimes I just like pictures and can't put the reason why into words.

I'm in my early 40's and live in West Sussex. I have CFS/ME among other things, so my participation in groups on flickr can be a little erratic and if you send me a message you may not get a response immediately.

Although the photo's I post here do reflect my interests to a certain extent, trains, cars, planes, and the like are easier to take a reasonable picture of than nuthatches, snipe, and water voles etc. So the quantity of photos on any given subject does not necessarily reflect the degree of my interest in it.

For many of my photos I have higher resolution files available and am usually happy to provide them to people who ask nicely.

Portraits.
I do sometimes take candid shots of people I don't know, and occasionally digitise some of the portraits I took on film years ago, where I am not in touch with the people any more. If I have posted a picture of you, and you strongly object to it being here, please contact me.

Although I have chosen to use a Attribution NonCommercial Creative Commons license for most of the photos I have posted there are exceptions. Please check rights for each photo.

Where I have used a CC license you are free:

* to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work
* to make derivative works

Under the following conditions:

*Attribution. You must give me credit as the original author .
*Non-Commercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes.
* For any reuse or distribution, you must make clear to others the licence terms of this work.
* Any of these conditions can be waived if you get permission from me.
* Nothing in this license impairs or restricts my moral rights as author.



Please bear in mind that I can only grant you a license for my rights in my pictures as the photographer. Depending on the subject matter and your usage of the image others may also have rights. For example, as I don't need them, I have not sought or obtained model or property releases for any of my photos.

Also where I have granted permission for non-commercial use of my work I wish to make clear that it is not my intention to allow editorial use by commercial entities unless further specific permission has been obtained. If you do want to use my work commercially, please don't be afraid to ask.
