I am no fancy, I understand simple lines and curves and I draw my own. I don't know if I am creative, or If I am at all an artist. I don't believe in artistry, I believe in connection and thats' all it is to my photography. I shoot what I can touch and feel, medium matters the least. A photo is not a success or failure to me, its just a photo. if I can re-live the same moment again, my photo is worthy enough.

"Poonam Parihar brings a gift from the deeper side of her creative oeuvre.
There are generations growing out there who just go and do what they feel like doing. Creativity, however, is something that is hard to achieve and difficult to learn. It comes from within. So there are a small percentage of such gifted individuals that one gets to meet who fit that mould of people who can take up the creative field with ease and then excel at it.
Her images speak a language. A story as if it were of her own experiences as seen and captured by her camera. Her photos bring that rare quality of photography – a pictorial narrative of a place, a person or a mood frozen forever in a frame of beauty. She breathes the mood, the ambience, action and the setting in her frame. I have seen her at work and I really marvel at the length that she can go through to get the frame as she sees it. Yes I have seen her contortionist acts to fit into no space to get the frame right. Now that is a rare gift – not the contortionism, but that elusive quality -- the ability to be so totally concentrated on the action that it just does not matter about the place or what happens to you or to the seat of your pants. That only happens when your mind is connected so deeply to what you want to capture and portray that you forget about the space and time dimensions.
So we know that the learning curve of gifted individuals like Poonam Parihar is a short one indeed .She has immense talent and creative ability and it is coming to fore now as is visible with her breathtaking captures of Ladakh and her recent destinations in india. Now it is a pleasure to see the images on her photo stream as she churns her creative ferment onto her pictures.
