I'm a twenty one years aged girl living in Cairo, A pharmacy student.
I started photoraphy in 2004 (I used to shoot with my camera phone then), but I think my hobby's real begining was in Summer 2006 when I got my cybershot W-50, then took it seriously early in 2008 when I got my first DSLR my dear nikon D40 :D. I currently own both a D40 and a D90 with their kit lenses 18-55mm, 18-105 mm, A sigma 70-300 mm f/3.5 APO lens and a 50 mm f/1.8 lens.

My photo "With their hands rowing to a world of their own" won the 9th place in the Europian Commission's delegation to Egypt's first photo competition whose theme was Egypt: Life in a picture for the year 2008 and the 4th place nature theme in Sawy culture wheel 6th photo competition. Also my photo Joy was chosen among the winning photos in the "Ricierca e cooperazione" competition. I also won UNICEF's Middle East and North Africa special award for youth for my photo No voice goes higher than my country's voice in 2011.
I'm was taking photography as a hobby, I never thought of being a professional photographer before, but I'm currently working as a freelance photographer.

I participated in more than fifteen national group exhibitions, five international ones and looking forward to having my own one by the end of this year.
I believe in arts and culture, arts can change the world, I am an Arab and a Muslim and I do respect arts. I believe that a photo should have an idea behind, deliver this idea or change the viewer's perspective about a certain issue or even just tease his/her mind about it, otherwise I don't consider what's there a form of art.
Note: Showing the beauty of a place or an object is a major idea that arts should deliver, also sharing other traditions and cultures is amazing, I am person who's interested in other cultures and would love to see more of them :).
