My existing research project is based in a complex of spaces dedicated to the dead in México city. It endeavours to explore how and why through everyday activities and yearly rituals private and public spaces of the dead are created and maintained. In 2003 I set out to document meticulously through images as well as text the numerous ways in which the living and the dead remain connected over generations. This ongoing project was awarded with a PhD in Visual Anthropology completed in 2010.

All the black and white images have been taken and developed using traditional photographic methods, no image manipulation, cropping or altering of images digitally.
