i take a LOT of photos. life just looks more colourful reflected through a lens.

i am looking to communicate with other artists, photographers, writers, feminists, musicians, music-lovers, livers of life & lovers of dreams.
i believe in astrology (as a tool to understand the self, not as the be-all, end-all Word of God). i am a libra through and through and it's a good thing because i love it! balance is essential to my life even though it's a constant struggle. :)
i'm a lover of experience, of people, of words, of nature and animals. my younger brother is one of my very best friends. i believe in connection and soul mates. i am open yet very private. most people do not understand this, but that is okay by me.

i find photography to be an artistic way to deal with the struggle between image and reality, body and mind.
plus, it's just damn fun.

    "Lovely Shannon * Shannon is one of the most inspirational writers on flickr. While I have always loved to write, I am perpetually inspired by Shannon's gift to articulately express herself . When I read her writings, I imagine someone who has just battled and prevailed, walks through the door, strips down naked, and will now start to pen all the details and all the emotions in her experience . I don't say this because I often picture Shannon naked. :) I say this because she writes with beautifully, uninhibited raw honesty. She is open and she is fearless.     "I feel like I should write something about Shannon but I must admit I am at loss for words on exactly what to say. There is a certain energy I get from Shannon that somehow translates through her photographs. Her stream is always fascinating as she shares so much of herself in both her photos and her descriptions. If you follow her it will not take long before you feel like you know her and develop a certain attachment. Within hours of picking up PhotoShop her skills had surpassed mine, but that's not surprising as she is clearly an artist.

    I wish I could describe what I get from Shannon's stream better than this but the main thing I get is a lot of positive energy and it's really refreshing."
