Hi there,
Originally from Washington State, I moved to British Columbia about 20 years ago after, shall we say, a difference of opinion? I have lived on the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver island for most of my stay in BC, with a couple of years on a ranch in the bush SW of Vanderhoof. Now though, Vancouver Island is home, and I can't imagine living anywhere else.
I'm a birder, a professional wildlife consultant, a devoted grandparent, and an activist commited to bringing reason and empathy back into decisionmaking. Fear and greed have ruled long enough. I am deeply concerned about issues relating to sustainability. If we don't get our affairs in order soon, we are all *%#$@&!
I am an active member and volunteer for several conservation groups here in BC and am currently a director with the British Columbia Field Ornithologists. I also moderate the Vancouver island bird chat group on Yahoo.
