I love the sparsely populated remote area where I live because of the wide variety of photographic subjects I am able to engage without having to travel far. My experience with digital photography (since late Nov 2004) is continues in the learning stage. My photographic interests are eclectic as my photostream makes evident. Scanning and posting pictures I have taken in the past is a secondary interest engaged in during our long rainy winters.
I am a 2nd generation California native of Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley. I am the grandson of European immigrants to California. My education includes graduation from Fresno State University. I am a veteran and served a full tour in Vietnam minus 5 weeks hospitalized in Yokohama, Japan. My working career includes a few years in construction, design and real estate development in the private sector and 24 years of government service at the county level working mostly as a cost accountant and Dept CFO in the health care sector. I retired early and fled California knowing well, as a government accountant, the financial problems the state was headed for. Sadly for those I left behind my prophecy came true.
