Photography is my creative outlet by balancing out my academic or right brain activities. I shoot digital and with film, developing the B&W stuff myself. My digital gear is Canon but I've got a collection of film equipment, my favourite film camera being the medium format Mamiya RB67 Pro S which doesn't require batteries.

My father taught me the basics using his Nikon Nikkormat FTn but we never got around to ressurecting the darkroom. Fast forward a few years and I enjoy passing on the knowlege I've gained.

I shoot mostly digital but am getting back into film for its soul. Fully manual film cameras without batteries go back to basics & make every photo count (especially on medim format with 10 photos to a roll of film). Going on holiday these days seems to entail a bag of electronics and cables which is a trend that needs to stop.

Flickr started out as a place to show some of my holiday photos from my year long Europe Vacation back in 2003/04 and I never finished putting them online.

I'm camera brand agnostic and love all aspects of photography. I love sharing what I've learnt along the way. Looking to challenge myself like making the most out of a roll of film, maybe trying just one focal length or organising more photowalks, gallery visits and treasure hunts.
