I live in North GA USA, was reintroduced to photography after years of not taking pictures. My husband www.flickr.com/photos/digphotoman is an avid photographer and lured me back by buying me a camera (Canon EOS XTI) in March of 07 and I'll be forever grateful! Hobby is too light a word for an obsession so we won't call photography a hobby. It has become a very important part of my self-expression and I absolutely love it!

I was introduced to FLICKR about the same time I got my camera and I have thoroughly enjoyed becoming a part of this community. Seeing the amazing work of my fellow Flickrites has become an important part of each day and provides me with the all important instant gratification of touching base with folks with my same interests!

I love making new contacts - I do like to give comment to each of my contact's photos if possible. To me, that's where the fun lies - in checking out each other's work. Not always possible, but my intentions are good!

Thanks for checking in and sharing your images with me!

"I am very impressed by her distinct style in her photographs. Her unique B&W abstracts demonstrate keen observation and meticulous way she makes an image. I am constantly inspired by her discipline in maintaining her photographic style no matter what her subject is. Doug's capture of Peggy on the floor always comes to my mind when I see her photos... Meeting a friend like Peggy is the greatest benefit of flickring!"

"The things that attracted me to Peggy and her work were very simple: her ability to find a great shot where most of us would see nothing, and her stunning black and white shots - they are always full of such great contrasts, and always have a wonderful tonal range. Added to this, there is her talent for taking such wonderful portraits.

Her work has really been a huge inspiration to me, and has made me look again at how I do black and white stuff - many thanks, Peggy.

Take a good long look at her work - you won't regret it."

"one could say that peggy has a fine eye.
one could say that her portraits are finely wrought, sweet without being sentimental.
one could say that her observations draw attention to the hidden corners of every day life.
one could say that her abstracts encourage us to see forms where our eyes would otherwise glide past.
one could say that her tonal sensitivity is exquisite.
i am here on record as saying all that.

but, most of all, despite not ever having met her or talked to her directly, i am here to observe that peggy is a fine person. that is the current that runs deep in her photostream."

"I just discovered Peggy's work. I am blown away! Her treatment of color, composition, texture, and subject matter are impeccable and unique. Studying Peggy's work is a course if photography all by itself - one would do well to emulate her. I've a sneaking suspicion that I will be spending a great deal of time pouring over her photos!"

"Peggy brings a unique eye to photography, in particular, taking every day things and showing them in a way that will make you pay attention to them in a way you more than likely would not have prior, such as her macro or close up shots for example. She is one of my contacts that I pay close attention to what she is posting so I can see what her eye will reveal next."

"peggyskng has an exceptional eye for capturing captivating detail and awesome color--The excitement I feel when checking her latest photos always inspires me to fiddle with my own camera to figure out how she accomplished her results; to date I'm still working on that one! Splendid!"
