Sheffield Contemporary Art Forum is a not-for-profit organisation set up to promote art in the city. We are made up of various representatives from Sheffield's contemporary art scene, including the Site Gallery, Museums Sheffield, Bloc, Sheffield Hallam University, S1 Artspace , Yorkshire ArtSpace and independent artists.

The Forum’s aims are to:
> Develop Sheffield’s reputation as a centre for contemporary art
> Build audiences for contemporary art
> Create opportunities for artists

SCAF has programmed and co-ordinated five city-wide events to date; ARTLINK in 2001, Art Sheffield 03. Art Sheffield 05: Spectator T, Art Sheffield 08: Yes, No & Other Options and Art Sheffield 2010 - Life: A User's Manual.

We also promoted Sheffield based artists to international audiences via The Sheffield Pavilion 2007, a book-based project launched and distributed at the Venice Biennial, Italy and Documenta XII, Germany; and The Sheffield Pavilion 2009, a film reel showcasing new video work by Sheffield based artists launch as part of The 11th International Istanbul Biennial.

To nurture audiences for contemporary art activity in the city, SCAF co-ordinates the Art Ambassador Scheme, an innovative audience development initiative involving representatives from organisations based in the city.
