I am an amateur wooden boat builder, fly fisherman, grandfather husband, dad, and teacher. I teach art, appreciate art, make and sell art. I love the outdoors: being out of doors, and doing outdoor things like camping, fishing, hiking, sailing, and well, just about anything! I made a boat shaped cradle when my granddaughter was about to be born. Then I made two more after she arrived. That began the journey where I started making a handcrafted wooden sailboat in 2005 and put it on the water in the summer of 2008. I love taking kids and friends fishing in it. This summer (2009) will be the first time I will be able to sail it. I have a wonderful wife and family. I am very, very proud of all of my three kids. I am glad they are part of my life.
