Sunsets first drew me to photography. The incredible hues painted in the sky over the Allegheny Mountains begged to be captured, for they were too beautiful to be only seen once.

Color may have lured me in, but black & white became my first love. Experimenting with light and tone of a world filled with color, and distilling that into black & white proved a worthy challenge.

After moving from a chemical darkroom to a digital one, the world of color was once again opened to me. I love to capture moments or details that most might have missed.

In the past 2 years I've dove head first into learning how to light off-camera. Since then I've begun to do portraits, events, and weddings professionally. You can see my site at: http://emagery.net
