39 years of age and married with children. I was once Dying in Downey, now I'm Living in Lakewood The longer I lived in Downey the more I saw the city I once knew fade away(restaurants,stores,businesses,signs,etc). Hoping I'll be able to stir up some old memories with the pictures I plan on posting. Feel free to post your comments.

Thanks for all your assistance while I have scoured the archives in search of images and history many of which can be seen posted here. The Downey Historical Society is open Wednesday and Thursdays betwen the hours of 10-2p.m. It is located at Apollo Park. Tell them Michael sent you.
