Between obsessing over gear and freezing time, my photography evolves. I push and I push and then I let go. I shoot things that don't shoot back. I am taken by beauty and compelled to encapsulate it. I try to embrace chaos but end up giving it form. I wander through my world and capture the sights and sounds of life.

Digital or film, if I like it, I shoot it. I prefer small cameras for their portability and discretion, and have amassed a reasonable collection of excellent cameras. I shoot compacts, bridge cameras, ILC's, (D)SLR's and rangefinders. If it does the job, I will use it.

So many things pass by in our lives, things that are fleeting and poignant in that transience. The arrangement of books in a bookshelf; the little coffee shop that you thought would always be there; the job you swore would only last for a few months but ended up becoming a years-long affair; the smile of a child or the pattern of leaves on a footpath. I believe in capturing it all. I believe in the immortalization of time.
