I am a perfectionist and it hurts. Perfectionism is a disease. I truly believe that it is. I know it's not healthy. But it's what I was taught. It's instilled within me. I may one day tame it, but I'll never be free from it. Never. I am not perfect. Never was, never will be. I know this. That's what makes this all more sick.
