40 something English language teacher, translator, blogger, etc who is learning to create images.

From the UK, but have been in Italy for many years, and I speak Italian quite well.

I love photography, which is quite possibly the best kind of hobby a technology nut like me can have.

Night/low light photography is something I've always wanted to try. And I like the idea of both on and off-camera flash. I have a decent tripod, and when I have the time, I wander off to find things to shoot.

A Canon f/4.0-5.6 70-300 IS USM lens
A Metz 58 Af1flash
A Canon 580ex11 flash
A Manfrotto tripod and head
UV and circular polarising filters

Shooting modes:
AV mainly, TV, and manual.

Number of years using a camera - many - but it is only from April 2007 that I started to learn and think more about photography.
