My philosophy on photography?
All the photos in the world come already packed inside your camera (don't ask me to explain this in physical terms). It is up to you to ask your camera to let them out at the right time...and if you are patient and look at what comes out with an open mind, they will tell you a lot about yourself.

When I turned 10, my father gave me a brand new Pentax MX. In my mind the MX was a superior being: perfect, accurate, beautiful. Objects seem to acquire a soul when looked through the lens. I loved that camera!
After I abused that MX to the limit. I acquired a series of second-hands: a Canon AE-1 that came with a 50mm and an Olympus OM-2 with a Sigma 28mm.
Later I got a Russian Lubitel 120 for very little money, just to experience big 120 negatives (the quality was amazing).
Then, digital photography came about and I refused for some time to take it seriously. I started slowly with a series of compacts: 2 Finepix, 1 Lumix.

In September 2009 I had a flashback of how much I really enjoyed shooting with the MX and decided to get a proper camera again.
Started thinking of getting the Olympus EP-1 (there's rangefinder-love in all of us), but endless slideshow time in Flickr pointed me towards a Nikon D90....so I went to the shop to buy one and after some extensive camera rubbing, came back with the extraordinary Canon 50D and a 60mm macro lens.
I love photography again!
