I've only met her a few times, when she's come back to the states to visit friends and family, but her good natured heart, extordinary intellect, and amazing ability to balance family, work, and her photography hoobie never fail to amaze me.   "I've been a friend of Hylda H and her family for the longest time. I call her Lady H for a reason, because Hylda is truly a lady and a friend in every sense of the word. She is a very sophisticated and educated person, talented, creative and fun. I never heard a word from her that was rude or untrue. I still can't get over the fact that she thought herself to speak perfect Dutch in three months time after her arrival in Holland. Her home is one that's vibrantly alive with laughter, creativity and love. She's a kind person and takes that with her wherever she goes. You can see it in her photos. She displays a keen interest in her surroundings and the people she meets. It's a gentle soul at work behind her camera, but one who observes with wit and intelligence, that always puts a smile on my face. Taking pictures is just one of Hylda's many talents, accumulating into the general talent of the art of living. If you take time to look at Hylda's photos, you'll probably will experience that time and place take on a different kind of meaning. Like living in a dream where life's pressing matters matter not."
