I have been with Flickr since late April in 2007 and it’s been a great ride.

I guess one never stops learning and I have certainly found flickr a great learning tool. When I started I couldn’t even spell ‘HDR’, ‘Orton’ and many of the other techniques I can now use. I have learned from observation, practice, feedback and questions. I now have many ‘flickr friends’ who have motivated and helped me in various ways and my enjoyment of photography is much richer as a result.
For me ‘flickr’ has been an addiction and I have had to back off a little recently because my previous level of activity was becoming all consuming. I always try to respond (return visit) to those who do me the honour of commenting on my work and I like to visit my contacts on a regular basis. Because of this I find I need to keep my contact list small or I would not be able to cope.

If I have used a technique you want to know about, just ask me and I will do my best to help. If you have something I want to know I would like to think you will do the same for me.

I guess I could waffle on about copyright but those who respect these things will know all about it and those that don’t won’t give a dam anyway. If you do want to use my images please ask me. For most non commercial purposes it won’t be a problem and I’m open to negotiation on anything else.

I was born in 1950, am a widower and have two daughters in their late 20s.

Like messing around with cameras and computers. Not really into dark room work - too much like hard work.
Am getting heavily in to photoshop, which I find is more versatile and a lot less messy.
