Although I've been taking photos since I was about 6 years old, in many ways I am very green. I've had a lot of practice when it comes to the creative and artistic side but my knowledge of the technical is weak and thus something I am working on. I used to develop my own work in junior high/high school but have since lost that skill...hopefully will get back into that this year.

I have a very strong opinion on my work and am looking to enhance, not stifle, it with the right tools and technology. Having said that I still say photography is more about the eye of the photographer...the best camera is only as good as the person using it from all that I have seen.

I tend to veer towards the extreme detail of objects, people and scenes as my "comfort zone" but am trying to expand that by focusing more in reality as opposed to abstraction.

I'm also looking for friends and mentors - I welcome and appreciate any and all comments from the silly to the lascivious to the critical...please feel free.

Finally I use several types of cameras...they are:

- Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20S
- Canon PowerShot A570
- Olympus XA 35
- Holga
- miscellaneous cameras I've kept through the years including Polaroid, Yashika, Kodak that I don't remember the models on as I type this...
