Johan Gustavsson says:
"I have been following Johans stream now for quite awhile and he never ceases to amaze me. He is one of the better nature photographers I know of. He got a great eye for compositions, colors, lines and details. Johan is someone that you can learn alot from. If you have some time over, do yourself a favor and take a look in his stream.
They way he captures the nature that surrounds him is simply amazing. I am grateful that he share his work with us on flickr.
Thank you!"20th November, 2010

"Johan is one of the most talented photographers I've met, with an amazing photostream.
He is always willing to explain how he made the capture, and I've learned so much by his suggestions or constructive criticism on my stream. He is not only telling what he thinks would work better, but even more important; why it would.
I guess this must mean he is a very generous and caring person, and I'm very grateful to have him in my presence."21st August, 2010

{no rest for the wicked} says:
"Johan is an incredible photographer who has been an important influence on the development of my own skills. Despite his amazing and diverse talents, Johan remains down-to-earth and accessible. He is a good teacher who freely details much of his creative process, and he is always willing to help others with suggestions or constructive criticism. Johan appreciates the important social aspect of the artistic process and he exemplifies so well that wonderful inspiring spirit of Flickr."

"Johan is a very skilled photographer. His photos are really breathtaking. Besides his wonderful photos Johan is a real educationist. He explains how he makes a capture by providing additional info in the caption field. He also takes the time to explain when people want to know more in detail what methods and techniques he used. To me this is invaluable and I've learned a lot thanks to this. Johan is an active Flickr member commenting on other peoples photographs which is much appreciated. Thank you!"

LemonSunrise says:
"The very first quality I notice and admire in Johan is his generosity, a virtue too rare to be found even among people I consider good friends. That he is also a dedicated and hardworking artist with a keenly analytical mind are qualities I also deeply respect. Johan goes well beyond simply making stunning photographs – his images instills in us the breathtaking soul of nature and sheer splendors of light in everything, mirror lakes, rolling clouds, pent-up hearts of sensuous flowers, dark old town thoroughfares, and breezes rustling through tops of trees. Johan's art is uncommonly altruistic art in a world so inflated by narcissistic art. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a Flickr friend in him."

Im Regen says:
"At this time me and diesmali have spent a number of early mornings and late evenings together photographing. To me it feels like a great privilege.
As a photographer diesmali has several invaluable characteristics as being careful, patient and having a lot of artistic feeling. In the field he always seems to be ready for new discoveries and - not least - seing them! In picture after picture he's showing the ability to creatively finding and catching the essence of "things". Often I'm impressed by he's doing this in a very simple, sometimes subtle way. His creativity is always looking for new angles, new ideas to express. In diesmali's images the artistic and the documentary dimensions of photography blend very harmonious.
As a person and a friend of mine diesmali is a very cool guy with a rare natural humbleness and a very lively curiosity. I hope there will be plenty of excursions to come!"3rd June, 2008

ilsebatten says:
"Diesmali/Johan’s images speak of stability, tradition and the beauty of his native Sweden. But they also deliver a strong comment on nature in the urban environment. Johan is not afraid of the dark or of being introspective and his stream is therefore filled with almost Jungian images which speak to us at a much deeper level. Like a truly committed photographer he shirks neither the weather nor the clock to get the shot he envisages - always to my great delight. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Johan who has become the dearest of flickr friends."

Stina Stockholm says:
"If you've discovered the gorgeous photostream of diesmali, I woud suggest that you take the time to go back a and have a peek in the streem, if you have not already! This streem is filled with beautiful, often low keyd but always well composed and fine colored photos. It's such a pleasure to slowely browse though them.
Also, I consider D a true Flickr friend, who not only is supportive but constructively supportive and often have the courage too give much appriciated advice."15th March, 2008
