goodeye03's photostream
|
I have been involved in Photography in one form or another since 1976.Started shooting photos with the US Army. I had worked in many different positions for a number of photo companies. Sold cameras and video equipment for a number of years, rep'd for labs and equipment companies.
I call myself Goodeye because, I only have 1 good eye, I lost my left eye to cancer over 7 years ago. And live with the side effects of Proton Radiation everyday. It has had such an effect on me that I haven't been able to work in many years..So I do this for fun when I can...It helps to pass the time and take my mind off the pain..
I enjoy being here on Flickr for a number of reasons for the last 4 years. Have made some very good contacts and some not so good as well. I try to keep a fun stream of various photos, not to stylize in any particular subject matter. I'm honest about what I post, good, bad and indifferent.
I also have many different contacts for many different reasons. I do not judge others by their streams or their contacts, nor do I expect to be judged.
All of my work is copy written and I ask that none be used without my permission...
I'm way to old for your "Ego", or that you are "Photographer" after 1 year with a digital camera. This "Art" takes many years to master and many more to make a living at it..Too many people today "Think" they are "Good". and their work is good enough to open a business. It's not right.. I've met a few people like this and they aren't prepared for it. They tend to think everything is saleable when it is Not.
It is what others think that is important....Automation is great, but it has created too many "Artist" who can only shoot one style of images and when taken away from that can't create a decent image...But yet still proclaim to be so good..I really have a problem with this type of self-important person....That are rude and obnoxious here on Flickr..
I have the utmost respect for those that still shoot film. There is a big difference, you can hold your work , richness, quality, and a few other reasons..But digital is so much cheaper. I'd be broke with developing charges. The quality now is so good.
I try to learn everytime I shoot. And I shoot what is there...
Not big into using the computer to make the image, but I'm not against it at all.I think HDR is too heavily used by some to make themselves feel good about a poor image. It makes almost anything look good.
Photography is subjective like all art.
I had so much fun for many years selling cameras! I met the world and had so much fun. I dated women from many many countries, had a ball. Fell in Love with a Colombian beauty..We almost married. Met another beautiful woman, lived together for years, sadly she passed away due to diabetes a few years ago...
This site is about having fun and sharing your world with the rest, that is what I try to do...
So have a look around and stay if you like, ask any question you want to, I'll be happy to answer...
Rich
I have changed my settings and only allow Friends to see large as I've had to many shots stolen....
Can't do it anymore!
I've been "Ripped Off" Enough.
