As a little girl I spent a lot of time looking at the family albums. I started taking pictures as a teenager with a Kodak Instamatic that was given to me by a boyfriend. When my first child was born I took lots of Polaroids and still used the Kodak Instamatic until my youngest was born and then purchased a used Minolta SLR. I love the artistic side of photography and sometimes struggle with the technical side. I finally went digital in 2007 and have been taking lots of photos mostly of family and pets. My favorite subjects are three year old granddaughter Grace and my ten year old golden Sadie. I love old family photos. I enjoy scanning pictures and making slideshows with music.

I enjoy looking at Flickr photos and getting to know and talk to some of you personally through comments and FlickrMail.

I strive to improve my pictures and many of you are an inspiration to me. It is thrilling when I learn something new concerning taking pictures and processing them. I many times wish I could know how some of you get the fantastic shots that you are able to get and how you go about processing them as well.
