I am 42 years old and live in Stoke on Trent, England With my long term (read as long suffering) Partner (gee she has had a hard 17 years). We have Four girls, one Dog, two cats and a handful of lower order pets :o)

These are some of my favorite photos, mainly taken since August 2004 when I went digital. If I stopped shooting now I would still have enough to post but these days I shoot even more than ever ,so doubt I will ever catch up (not that I want to)

I was born at an early age in a town far far away, well about 40 miles :o) . As a family we moved around a bit but we settled in Stoke on Trent when I was five and I have been here ever since.

I can’t even remember taking up photography, that’s how normal it was in our house. My dad (deegs) always liked taking photos, so it was only natural that I took some snaps while we were out and about but that’s all they were just snaps. The first camera that I can remember (and still have) was a Practica super TL3 SLR. It was fully manual, exposure and focusing, so I learnt the hard way and think this helped me.
In the late nineties I upgraded to a Minolta SLR and over the next few years I added lenses and started to "try" to take "photographs" not snaps but I feel the biggest improvement's came at the end of 2004, when I went digital with the Fuji S5000, at the start of 2007 I got the Fuji S9500, although I still use the S5000 as well and in 2008 I got a Sony Alpha a200.

I have never enjoyed my photography as much as I do right now.

I like taking animal shots, at zoo's and in the wild but I really want to improve my landscape shots


I don't always post pictures in order that they were taken, so here they are in order by year....
