Dec. 2011. A year ago I was diagnosed with movement disorder that affects every aspect of my life: putting on make-up, signing my name, drinking a cup of coffee, texting or taking a picture became monumental tasks. I withdrew both from flickr and from a great deal of life. Now I try to laugh at such things and realize how blessed I am for the people and things in my life:

My youngest son Laine, bright & beautiful. Just turned 18, Laine's passion is his music. Self-taught on numerous instruments, he also works on his own and in collaboration with friends on writing and recording. His intelligence, creativity and resourcefulness blow me away!

My oldest son Dylan, age 23. Diagnosed with brain cancer for the 4th time in July 2008, He was told that "currently accepted oncology protocols" had nothing left to offer him and given 3 different ways to die. Dylan chose a 4th alternative - life, andhas been in remission since October 2008. He is my hero!

My beautiful, elegant Mom, in the very advanced stages of Alzheimer's. I pray the Lord takes her home soon, where there will be no more pain, no more tears, no more fear. Where she can sing and dance again... I love her so much.

Barry, husband # 1 & 3. Barry is Laine's dad. He not only plays guitar, he designs and makes them!

Dow, husband #2 and father of Dylan. Along with his wife, Debra and an interesting assortment of other family members, we make a rather dysfunctional, convoluted system of "yours, mine and ours" that works quite well, thank you very much!

Friends. You gotta have friends! All ages, sizes and colors, we've been blessed with the best!

My family history: all that is left are some old photos, newspaper clippings and a few mementos. It all fits in three plastic tubs. I put some history here as well.

That's it - the people and things most important in my life. The ones you will see in my photostream and hopefully read a little about...and perhaps leave a comment if one touches you somehow!
