I'm a life long nature lover who tries to use photography to show people what they're missing when they don't get outside. I've spent the last five years trying to bring back native prairie on half of my property because here in Illinois, the 'Prarie State', we have less than 1/10th of 1 percent of native prarie left. It's only a couple of acres but even at that size, I'm amazed at the bird and insect life it's attracting. So much more interesting than a lifeless mown grass desert.
