    deadpan (formerly far cat) says:

"This dude is very, very good. And if you aren't a fan of Bruce yet, you soon will be before you even finish sailing down his stream.

But let me tell you how I "met" Bruce: I made a comment on one photo in a group of street shooters (pardon the pun) and I was surprised to get a reply from that photo's photographer (pardon the redundancy). That simple act bears out what wimdejonge says about him: "...he seems to be quite a nice guy too." (check out wim's testimonial, it's correct; and it's polite).

Being a curious cat, I checked out the dude, and liked what I saw. That dude was Bruce. He was I think my first contact (hehehe) And his photos were just amazing. I honestly begun to get irritated after looking at them everytime I flickred (sorry bout this dude) doesn't this guy have a flaw? Okay, I know, we strive for excellence right? A 10? But perfection is not humanly possible! Okay, he's probably some humanoid from a cloning lab (which is why his icon shows only his feet. Awright, awright, it's not his, it's the lab technician's okay?) So I stopped writing comments, everybody does that for me. All I do is hit the fave spot. That's my happy button. And so what if he's humanoid after all, heck, his photo's are very original - Artistic, painterly, creative, sensitive, moody, expansive, pastoral, lovely...okay enough already, I'm drooling. one more shot - and it's all about aesthetics."

"Bruce processes landscapes into being. With a photographer's eye, a painter's hand and a mixture of styles ranging from formal to fantasy.

On top of that, he seems to be quite a nice guy too ;-)

His stream is a joy to wander through. Enjoy!"

    Grant MacDonald says:

"Bruce is among my favourite Flickr photographers. His composition is always well-thought out, creative and often thought provoking. He has the ability to take the ordinary and transform it into art. His nature shots are spectacular, but so are his shots of construction sites and industrial subjects. Bottom line is that I never glance at one of Bruce's shots -- I always linger and the more I linger the more I appreciate! Thanks for sharing your work Bruce!"

"I'm fan of unusual point of view, artistic sense, big sensibility and this feeling for the "moment". Yes, you're a big photographer and i'm your fan."

"I have never actually written a testimonial before... so here goes...

I only recently came across Bruce's photos, and I was instantly amazed by the plethora of fantastic shots! He has an exceptional spacial awareness and a unique gift to transfer the space into a masterful composition. The lines and negative/positive space of the photos have continually jumped out at me!!

Bruce, I look forward to your future posts... as the photos appearing on my contacts page these past few days have really caught my eye. Keep up the great work!"

    Daniela Miernik says:

"Flickr is full of photography not even worth a single thought.
That’s why Bruce’s photos are a rare gem in this enormous
pile of yappy (and often brainless) shooting.
They all balanced, full of thought, taken with an attempt
to have one good shot, not
a million of mediocre or just poor ones.

He looks after the composition; the colour is used only if it becomes a vibrant dominant.
All his black and white photos left me speechless with one thing on my mind:
I want to be as good as he is one day!
They’re all smart, classy and unbelievably advanced technically.

Spare a minute to visit his photostream.
That will be one of your best experiences on Flickr."
