I love to snap photographs just to relax.

I started taking photographs when my first child was born (as many people do!) I still have the old Zenith camera I bought for about £30 in 1981 (It has so many sentimental memories for me it's lense watched my 2 daughters most days in their tender years!) I keep it for sentimental reasons.
I am still photographing babies as my daughters have 4 children between them but these days I use a Panasonic Lumix G2; (and occasionally my Fuji FinePix S9500 which has served me so well for many years and I am sentimental when cameras are involved and will not get rid of it!)

I love travelling and especially like Italy and the USA but I have discovered much more of Europe over the last few yearrs including Austria France Croatia the Czech Republic Greece Spain Malta Montenegro and Albania. Alas I was due to go to Egypt but the struggles of the people has put that visit on hold (for now).

I am the Administrator of my own group - Great Images - www.flickr.com/groups/great_images/ please feel free to join it and upload some of your pictures - I dont have any silly rules I just want people to showcase their images.

Life is good and sharing the beauty of life with fellow minded people makes it all worthwhile when I OCASIONALLY capture a half decent photograph!

I love this Flickr site and am making many friends here - I particularly enjoy learning by looking at the wonderful images produced by the fantastic photographers out there. Thank you to you all for being my "photography teacher".
