Who am I?!

Frenck was born on May 31st, 1982 (Let me do the math for you: 27 years old). His real name is 'Franck Nijhof', but on the internet, he's better known by his nickname 'Frenck'. He was born and raised in Enschede, The Netherlands. He currently still lives there.

In his younger years he was surrounded by his father's camera, who took pictures, like you could get film for free! On trips to countries like Indonesia and Thailand the most beautiful pictures where taken! His dad's Nikon F50 is still in the family.

It is the year 2000, Frenck bought his first own digital camera. A Sony Cybershot DSC-P9! Those 4 mega pixels where real state of the art those days! And yes, it's a simple compact camera, but hey!, every story has a simple beginning :)

Frenck's real interest for making professional photo's started out in April 2006. His former girlfriend bought herself a digital camera, the Canon EOS 300D. Although it was her toy, he just could not resist using her camera. It became worst by the week. As an result of that, Frenck bought his own DSLR camera in May 2007. A Canon EOS 400D.

After a year he wanted to take his work to the next level. So in June 2008, he sold his 400D and bought a brand new Canon EOS 40D. This is the camera he is still using for his work published right now.

Currently I'm still working on my style... Tho, I like to photograph details. I'm quite a newbee at this all, so still searching for my style. Meanwhile you can enjoy all kinds of pictures on my Flickr profile :)
