I got my first camera as a birthday gift from my Dad when i was in grade school and been into photography for over two decades, way before digital format. I graduated as Bachelor in Fine Arts major in Advertising, placing top in my graduating class in photography and It was during this period when I expanded my knowledge from taking the proper exposure, physics of visual light, rules of art and composition, chemically processing my own exposures, etc... Everything then had to be shot perfectly on the spot because there was no instant LCD verification and nothing can be done once the image is captured in film. Exif info was non-existent then but instead taking notes with each shot was the only way to learn and figure out exposure mistakes. In a way, I am glad I learned then the essentials and true basics of photography and still I am continously learning as technology is exponentially evolving.

Right now, I take pictures out of passion more than any other reason and mostly of nature and the places where I travel. Although not in a regular basis, my professional experiences include shooting for publications, promotional/product advertising (primarilly for print media and then web) and the occasional portraiture. In the past, more than one article has been written about me as a photographer and my photography work in a few local news and magazine publications. I also had a self-titled 30-day exhibit in Greenwich, CT where i got to show and sold to mostly people based in CT, NY, and MA for their homes, offices and business lobbies.

My reason for being here in flickr is to share and learn in everything photography.
