What I have in my camera bag:

Canon 40D
Canon EFS 17-85mm USM with IS
Sigma 55-200mm
Canon 50mm f1.8 prime (which I am loving right now)
Canon Ixus 950IS (brilliant go-anywhere compact camera)
Hoya and Marumi CPL and UV filters
B&W ND grad filter
A tripod that's seen better days and needs replacing with a nice solid Manfrotto
A $2 reflective steering-wheel cover - so much cheaper than proper reflectors.
A small, handmade bean bag for steadying my camera

A note on my post processing....I try, of course, to get things 'just right' in camera. However, I will gladly crop or adjust levels etc if I think that will improve upon things. If I've tried to be more 'creative' with my processing I will note what I've done, but not otherwise. I use Photoshop CS2 and Photomatix (I think HDR can be fun, although I don't like too heavy handed an approach).



I live in rural South Canterbury, NZ with my husband and young son, several sheep, some chooks, a cat and a small, friendly Kune Kune pig. Some of New Zealand's best landscapes are within easy reach, so I just need to make time to get out there and photograph them.

I really appreciate it when people take time to comment on my pictures. However please no glittery, sparkly and animated graphics - I don't read others comments streams if they're filled with those so I prefer to keep my own comment streams 'glitter-free'.
