I'm a reporter at The Independent newspaper in London.
My job is writing words but my hobby is taking photographs. I try not to take my camera out on stories because I firmly believe that's what photo-journalists are for. Papers are always slashing their photography budgets and it's such a shame.
When I go abroad, however, I often will take the pictures as well as write words.
