I've been taking and developing pictures for 50+ years. And I've also been involved in the computer industry for 40 years. But during the middle years I was busy with other things so the darkroom slowly fell by the wayside. Finally photography and computers have merged so I find myself even more involved with picturetaking.

All of the new digital equipment is great - making it possible for everyone to snap terrific photos. I love browsing the web and seeing all of the creativity around me and picking up wonderful new ideas left and right.

All of my friends know that I always have a camera in my hand, my shirt pocket or close by. I love snapping away. If someone asks me how I prefer taking pictures I would say that I'd like to "get it right in the camera". For forty years I've worked with computers both large and small. But having spent thousands of hours toiling in the darkroom during my earlier years, I have neither the time nor the inclination to do "computer darkroom work" now. So for the most part, here are pictures with no or little post-processing.

Kris and I had ten kids and now have fourteen grandkids so you might imagine that while I love taking a lot of pictures of landscapes, creatures and airplanes, my favorite subject remains family and friends.
