For fun I hack the Web (see below), play and perform music, and work to improve my eye and skill as a photographer. By far my photography is weakest of the three, but I work at it, and greatly appreciate the pointers and encouragement I get from my friends here.
I'm the creator of Flickr Hive Mind, a Flickr data mining tool, which many people find useful (thousands of people a day use it to look through Explore).You can see a summary of my photostream, using the tool, at:

I've also created Black Magic, which is similar to OnBlack (shows photos on a black background) but with a few added tricks up its sleeve.
I'm a technologist. I've become a bit obsessed with photographic equipment, especially older Nikon AIS lenses. I don't think for a minute these trinkets make me a better photographer, please bear with me as I have fun and comment about the different strengths and weaknesses I discover about them. It's a journey for me.
