Since joining Flickr I've noticed a change in my photographic interests, not surprising considering the vast amount of fine photos on Flickr. For now, I like to shoot ordinary things in ordinary places on ordinary days. I'm sure it'll change with time. There is so much to learn from others here. I also like shooting on rainy days but I'm also sure that if I lived in a rainy city that would be different too.
Color, color, color.
See it's changed already. Since I live in the city and don't have any natural mountains and valleys to shoot, I thought I'd shoot the man made mountains and valleys (skyscrapers and architecture). Once started, I found there was a huge number of excellent photographers doing the same with many fine groups to join. Tons of inspiration and contacts to keep the interest alive. I'm also very impressed with the iphoneographers, I think they are transforming the photography world. I don't have one yet : )

Just picked up the iPhone 4s, (Dec. 2011) stay tuned.
Also a Fujifilm X10.

Some great Photography books that I've read:
Within the Frame by David duChemin
Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson
The Photographer's Eye by Michael Freeman

"Dan's photographic style is unparalleled. He portraits the urban landscape in a unique way combining bold colours with clear geometric forms using his distinct style of processing to generate iconic images. His work has been a great inspiration to me and strongly influenced my own style."

"Dan, love your style, the distinct, bold style. I marvel at the energy in your images, the use of color, the shapes, the light!! So many different things, all great, a bursting of energy and creativity. Always get a jolt when viewing your work, inspired by it as well. Even the user name "Book'em" is classic!! If I look at 100 images a day, a 1000, I can always tell a Book'em from the bunch!!

For all those reading this and checking Dan out, spend a little time going through his stream, it will be well worth your while, you will see for yourself the greatness that is there!

    All the best Dan!"
