  "It's been a while since I've come across a photographer with quite so definitive a sense of pictorial story as Maria Luisa. I am fascinated by how you capture a sense of journey - and stillness - in your work.
  Your stream actually feels like a gallery in itself. The many pictures peopled by viewers are a striking part of the story, but there's more ... I love the interaction of human and inanimate. People are so often tiny, intimidated, just strategic compositional objects within a much larger picture, their fate and feelings uncertain.
  Compositionally, you absolutely rule the space, and viewing your images is a bit like being a puppet, my attention so skillfully directed - I become a part of the story in exactly the same way as the little figures within the frame, leaving, arriving, observing.
  It is indeed quite similar to being Alice, tumbling into Wonderland - a land full of treasures, dark undertones, humour, beauty. I don't think I want to leave any time soon!
