I refuse to be typecast. I shoot landscapes, but I'm not a landscape photographer. I shoot portraits, but I'm nor a portrait photographer. I shoot candids on the street, but I'm not a street photographer. I shoot bugs and flowers, but I'm not a macro photographer. I shoot with a Holga, but I'm not a Hipster. I shoot sports, but I'm not a sports photographer.

I have kitsch, snapshots, crap and the rare shot that doesn't completely suck.

I'm a photographer.

I hope you like some of my stuff. If you do, please leave me a comment to that effect, so I'll know what you think doesn't completely suck.

Here's a good place to start if you want to see a representative sample of my work.

"I shoot film because I suck at digital and one of the reasons I think I suck is because of photographers like Lee. this man brings digital photography to levels i can only dream of. the brief time I got to spend with Lee was a humbling experience, not every day you get to hang out with a true professional. wish we can do this again sometime."

"leesure is thoughtful, friendly, and a good sport. He has a fine sense of light, color, line, and texture. He's versatile - portraits, products, food, weddings, travel, and more. He's not above the occasional wildlife shot, landscape, or flower macro, either. And he does it all with competence and panache. He bothers to put some thought into his compositions, and it shows. He's worth getting to know, and his pictures are worth a look."

"Within 10 minutes of meeting him, Lee had thrown his arm around me as if we were old friends. And maybe we were, since Lee treats everyone like a long lost friend. His exuberance parlays directly into his photography, where he always seems more than happy to be helping others take pictures as taking them himself. Lee is one of the nicest persons I've met on Flickr, don't let anyone tell you differently."

"If not for the fact that leesure drinks and smokes he would have nothing in his stream. Okay, seriously the man has a great way with the camera and I especially love his portraits. I love the shots of his children, in fact I think one of my favourite shots on flickr is his shot titled Easter 2011 of his daughter smelling flowers. From still life to sports the man covers it all.

On top of all that he is a most generous man and I really was honored to finally meet him."

    Feeling Croppy says:

"I ADORE Leesure. I kept thinking about how I would begin a testimonial for Leesure. I've known him for quite some time on flickr, and we've had some interesting run-ins complete with snarky, rude, needling, and sometimes harsh exchanges. But, that's just because we are a lot of like and often clash. We are competitive and brash and full of ego and confidence, and I am clearly the better photographer, and that infuriates Leesure.

However, I knew upon meeting Leesure that I would love this guy to tears. And, I do. He is jovial and large, hilarious, warm, friendly, personable, and tells such great stories and jokes. He is really one of those people you love being around and being friends with.

As a photographer, I have always been amazed by his work, even when he was whining and annoying the crap out of me on flickr. My favorite work from Leesure is when he perfectly captures the essence of people in their surroundings, whether its children competing in sports or the elderly strolling through the streets. He watches and embraces the world around him, and is not only technically impressive, but seems to invariably capture the perfect moments in front of his lens. His timing is impeccable.

So, I will just come full circle and reiterate that I adore Leesure."

"Leesure, quite simply, is an exceptional photographer. His sports shots are among the finest on Flickr-- from Pee-Wee football to major league baseball, Ironman Triathlons and loads more. Always helpful, even if occasionally grumpy, there's no question that the LOVE leesure makes is greater than the BEER he takes."

"The first thing one notices when viewing Leesure's work is that all of his shots seem superbly composed. Next would be the sheer breadth of his work, be it landscape, portraiture or documentary. He has the ability to instantly convey his ideas through his photography - a rare quality indeed. His photographs are always intriguing and though-provoking. Take a gander and see the truth through his eyes."

"Leesure was one of the first people I ever met in DMU. Whether he shoot portraits of his beautiful children, landscapes with different perspectives, or lightplay shots; he conveys more than pixels across a screen he creates art.

Lee has always been helpful to me in looking at some of the technical aspects of my shooting and is never shy to point out some things you should change :)

You never want to run into him in a photo challenge because you can never narrow down what his entry will be. It may be a grandiose landscape or a shot of bridesmaids dancing at a wedding."

Well worth the time looking at his photos."

"Lee is one of my favorite Flickr friends I have made. Though he may come off as a pompous jerk (which he is), he has been more than willing to act as a mentor for myself and other younger Flickr photogs. Lee has had a great impact on my photography as of recent, from the small things like telling me to get a black background to teaching me how to meter off of different areas.

As for his photography, it is truly amazing! I find his shot compelling and unique, sometimes sitting for hours at work just staring at one shot!"

"I have come to know leesure through one of my favorite flickr groups, DeleteMe. As of this writing, he has 1,424 photos in his photo stream. His portrait work is quite good! He has a good eye for composition, a great wit, and from looking at his photos, a really great family! (I think he need more lighting gear though!)

He is a hopeless flickr addict and I think he may need an intervention."

There is a confidence to him, which shines through his work
His presentations are bold , attractive, technically & artistically
The book says the, "photograph should communicate to the viewer"
, in his rare case, it does

I also thank him for all the encouragement, he gives me"

You are inspirational!!! Your photos are so beautiful, you manage to capture a mood in every single one!
I'm trying to graduate from the "point and shoot" school of photography and I really aspire to be even a tenth as good as you some day."
