the question is not what you look at, but what you see.

I enjoy photography and strive for that one perfect shot although most of the time…well you decide! I took a correspondence photography course many years ago but for one reason or another I never finished!

I originally started out with a Zenit TTL and a Zenit Sniper, eventually progressing to a Pentax P30T, a Pentax MX50, a Minolta Maxxum 7000 and a Pentax Z10. There all now in storage. I can’t seem to part with them!

I hadn't really done much for many years and have just started taking more photos in the last 2 years, or so. This has been due to the spark re-ignited by my friend, undertaking a City & Guilds Photography Course! I’ve ended up in front of the lense modelling, and doing extensive reading, so that I understood and was able to help with the various projects! That’s not to say that I think I’m an expert. I still have a lot to learn - I’m always learning!

The discovery of Photoshop in all its guises has seen me spending what seems like an eternity playing with it! I’ve definitely got a long way to go here. My goal now with digital is to learn and grow as an amateur photographer, maybe one day turn Pro. (I’ve been told in the past that my work was good enough to sell, and I did!) Any critique will be gratefully received!

Now I use a digital Fuji Finepix S3000 and a Pentax K100D but of course ones always wanting to upgrade, its just the Bank Manager won’t let me!

I do try to keep up with all my contacts and their new shots but please forgive me if at times life gets in the way and I'm not able to. I try to consistently view their work, which I like to do! It gives me ideas, places to go and techniques to try!

Please, if you blog one of my photos I would like to be informed and given a link. All photos are copyrighted but if you would like to use one, please notify me. I'm usually not too anal about it but would appreciate that you ask. It just saves the legal wrangling later!
