Hi! My name is Nifer Fahrion, creative mastermind behind NifNaks.

An artist and crafter since childhood, I have always taken great delight in hand-made items, and the special joy and interconnectedness one gets from experiencing something truly unique. I have always loved experimenting in new mediums, which is how I discovered felting wool in 2006. I instantaneously fell in love with the soft, sensual wool, and the infinite possibilities it has to offer. I have been hooked ever since.

Working primarily with felting wool, I have been creating a menagerie of charming critters, decorative accessories and other assorted curiosities, each one a unique piece of wearable art.

I balance the cute & fuzzy with the tough & brawny in my life. I ride a motorcycle daily and enjoy getting my hands greasy as I learn how to fix it. I also have been practicing Muay Thai, the art of the 8 limbs, for upwards of 3 years.

I like adventure and new experiences. I love walking in a lush, wet forest, picking up cool bits of nature, chasing after critters, and sticking random things in my mouth to see what they taste like.

Life makes me gleeful, and I often uncontrollably groan, moan, grunt, buzz, squeak, sing, sputter, or emit a mélange of noises.

I live in dynamic and vibrant San Francisco, CA with my two Sphynx (hairless!) cats, my loving partner, and two very creative housemates/scientists/geeks/musicians/writers. This life of mine has infinite whimsy, joy, beauty, and inspiration to offer.
