Even as a child growing up in small town Ohio, I always loved photography. After high school, I attended the Ohio Institute of Photography and, in 1991, my childhood hobby became my career.

I worked at a couple portrait studios for a short time and learned quickly that senior pictures and weddings were not for me. I wasn't sure what I was going to do so, at 21, I ended up taking a year off from photography and called a local modeling agency to see if I could get some modeling work. Somehow I ended up volunteering to work in the office for free as an assistant in exchange for some photo shoots and entry to a modeling convention. After about 6 months, I started to draw a salary, and began to regularly photograph the models.

My 20s were amazing and fun years. The agency moved out of Ohio to Detroit, so I was living in a "big city" for the first time and had a complete blast developing the new faces at the agency. I photographed gorgeous models, worked as a model, and, that convention I went to for free... I ended up working for it for 13 years.

In 2001, I was offered a job as an acting manager’s assistant in Los Angeles so I made the big move to the west coast. After 6 months, I decided it was time to focus full-time on my photography. I spent the next 4 years in LA working as an assistant to some amazing celebrity and fashion photographers while simultaneously developing my own personal clientele.

In 2004, I was ready for my next adventure. I put all of my belongings in storage, hit the road, and spent 2 years driving all over the U.S. shooting for modeling agencies in cities such as Reno, Fort Myers, Wichita, and Detroit. At 36, I decided I needed to take my business to the next level and, after a lot of thought and research, I decided Dallas, Texas would be my next stop, so here I am. I shoot models and actors while building my commercial, ad agency, and executive clientele. My love for photography has only grown throughout the years, and I’m having just as much fun as I did in my 20s. I am so thankful to have such an amazing life.

"Anyone can take a photograph, but it takes something special to capture a person the way Kelly can. Her use of light, both natural and studio, composition and photographic style has made her a very in-demand photographer in the Dallas area and beyond. Her photos continue to amaze her clients and earn high praise from her peers. I learn something new every time I watch her work and I'm lucky to know such an amazing woman and photographer. :)"
