I'm based in Beijing, but am lucky enough to have a job that takes me all over China regularly. I have many photographs, but few that are good enough to share here.

For the photos in the Friends section, please note that these are "All Rights Reserved"....whatever it may say for each photo individually. Please do not download them without checking to see who took it and any issues or sensitivities with its use. This especially refers to images of the Great Wall, Gansu, Guizhou and tourism/heritage sites and infrastructure.

The maps and plans are best seen at full size and may be split across two or more images to ensure legibility.

Please do not directly link to the tourism or heritage images. Note that for many of the images, there are both GPS coordinates available and further detailed notes. Often all is not what it seems, and the photo may have been taken to show infrastructure in the background or context!
