I mainly take photographs while travelling or trekking.

**UPDATE: I have now finished the long process of scanning all of my old negatives and slides from Pakistan, India, Venezuela, Egypt, Iceland, Brazil, the Italian Dolomites and Nepal at high quality. So more images should be in my photostream fairly soon. I have just started to upload high resolution scans from my trip to India in 2001 - featuring the Pindari Glacier Trek in the Himalayas, Taj Mahal and wild tigers at Ranthambhore. I have recently gone digital, and the freedom of not having to buy and develop film has re-awakened my interest for general photography.

Since I got my private pilot's licence in March 2005 I have also been taking a fair number of aerial and flying photographs.

In my photostream, if a photo has been taken by someone else but with my camera I will say so i.e. Photo: Raphael Gigon. Occasionally I will post photos taken by somebody else with their camera if they send me the image, in which case I will credit it like this: Photo provided by Ahmed Mudassir Khan. All other photos are taken by me.
