I am a grouchy and difficult loner. Photography gives me some joyful Isolation as well as income. After a career of world travel my little home home and family have kept my feet on the ground
After 33 years of marriage, I have one wife, five kids and two grandkids who have provided me with much happiness, great pride and amazing challenges. The accomplishment here is all theirs as they have stayed in their through a lifetime of dealing with me-seriously.
My second home is the Abbey of Gethsemani outside Bardstown Ky. The Monks have been remarkably kind to me
during an incredibly difficult and challenging period of my life. Their several thousand acres have been a wonderful new avenue for my photography and a place for my quest for solitude. The monks even sell my photos in their gift shop. I try to do my part to help the monks out "around the house.
My current big photo project is a photo book and essays on each of the trappist monasteries in the US.
My failings are many but my blessings sublime.
