I am in my 40`s and self employed. I have a lot of free time mid week and like to get out, often with friends, walking and looking for photo opportunities. I live near Swansea in South Wales, I have a car and often travel some distance before setting out with my camera. I have been using a Sony DSC W1 compact, but I have now bought a Pentax K100D, digital SLR, and am enjoying learning how to use it.
Update. Just over a year since joining Flickr, and I am loving everything about photography. My main focus has been the Welsh Flickr Cymru Group, for which I am an admin. It is a great Group, and I have made lots of new friends, many of whom I meet regularly in real life as well as on the Web.
I have just updated my camera to a Samsung GX10, and I also have a Sigma 18-50 f2.8 DC EX Macro lens, and a Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro f4-5.6

After a while, the comments started to get a little more detailed, and his fabulous sense of humour started to shine through!
