  "ho incontrato la fotografia di betie bet, non ricordo più come. E così, come mi capitò scoprendo la luna, da bambino, me ne sono innamorato. Di un amore consapevole, però. Credo di saper riconoscere una brava fotografa da una fotografa così, così, per questo, la amo. Si può spiegare un amore? Non lo so. Credo di no. In genere, per cercare un motivo che possa spiegare agli altri il perché del nostro amore per qualcuno, diciamo che: è una persona sensibile, con personalità, che ha begli occhi ecc. Argomenti che, in genere, non dicono granché delle vere emozioni che ci provoca la vicinanza del nostro amore. Ma non posso parlare di betie bet (della sua fotografia), dicendo che è sensibile ( che banalità), che ha personalità (non è una persona), o che ha gli occhi belli (chi mi capirebbe?). Allora, con questo testimonial, provo un esercizio, difficilissimo per me, che in genere, deve essere supportato da competenze che non ho: parlare della fotografia di betie bet. Non so chi sia betie bet, in realtà non sono sicuro neanche che sia una donna, né che professione eserciti nella sua vita, ma se fosse una fotografa professionista, sarebbe un'eccellente fotografa di scena, in particolar modo, una eccellente fotografa di teatro. Sarebbe bravissima ad illuminare un palco da dove il personaggio ne uscirebbe esaltato, dove l'ambiente che lo circonda sarebbe un tutt'uno con il dramma che si sta svolgendo. Me lo dicono le sue immagini, i toni che sceglie, ancor più, le inquadrature. betie bet, si china, davanti al suo soggetto, ma non si prostra. Lo esalta, lo fa primeggiare, ma non si cancella. E la cosa si evince dall'immensa eleganza che le sue foto sprigionano. E' una professionista betie bet, o meglio (di questo sono certo), le sue foto sono professionali. Ma attenzione; non mancano della passione, che è tipica de l'amatore. Cosa ci dicono le foto di betie bet?, perché ci...parlano, o, perlomeno, perché parlano a me? Le immagini betie bet, ci dicono di una donna colta, che ha a che fare con l'immagine (come professionista o no), ma, soprattutto, che ha a che fare con una forte conoscenza dell'animo umano, delle sue fragilità. Ci restituisce sempre (attraverso le sue foto), la vera natura del sentire del soggetto, mentre, quest'ultimo, è intento a recitare tutt'altra parte. Come una sorta di un "dietro le quinte" dell'anima rivelata, rispetto a quella esposta. Credo che questo accada nella frazione di tempo, percettibile solo da pochi ( e betie bet, è tra questi), che sta tra la recitazione e la ricerca della natura da dare al personaggio. Lo chiamerò "respiro". Quel tirare il respiro per dare senso a quello che, a guardare bene, un senso non ce l'ha. Lì, in quel minuscolo frangente, chissà? Magari né l'inter-fotogramma, si colloca l'intervento di betie bet. E allora, per questo suo "sapere", per questo suo "tempismo", le sue foto raggiungono la mia sensibilità e mi commuovono. Si può dire di una foto che è commovente, pur non rappresentando un evento di questa natura? Non importa dare una risposta risolutiva su questo: a me succede. Queste tante, insulse parole, che ho speso, non spiegano la fotografia di betie bet, a dire il vero, non spiegano neanche l'amore che io nutro per lei (per la sua fotografia), così come nessun innamorato lo saprà spiegare mai; e allora, meglio rifugiarsi in un banale: è brava, nella certezza che questo mio, è un amore condiviso da molti altri ammiratori di betie bet. Allo sconforto di non aver saputo dire quello che sento profondamente, si aggiunge la mia assoluta incapacità di scrivere nella lingua de l'autrice, sicché, quasi sicuramente, il mio pensiero non potrà essere chiaro né a lei, né agli eventuali lettori di questo mio testimonial. Probabilmente verrà affidato ad un traduttore elettronico, e di tutto quello che ho scritto ne uscirà solo un banale: è brava."
