I live in Manchester - Whalley Range to be precise. I take photographs for fun but am pleased if the results look good.

I bought my first DSLR when my compact died although I did buy another Optio E40 to have handy... I chose the Pentax K100D Super because it's apparently a good one to learn on - I'm not far short of clueless as to how it all works - and I want to get to the point that I've learnt enough to warrant my next camera before the year 2015 (I'm planning on taking some time off work and travelling in search of the Northern Lights to celebrate my 50th birthday!)
